Hmmm, interesting development. I can see this going a couple of ways, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I like the way this is resolving, because it is not just action and luck on Hawke’s part, but also the drives and personalities of the characters shaping the story. Well done!

I’d bet on Hawke winning again this time (besides the fact that he’s the hero [Wink]). In the earlier bout, Hawke was still in “this is just a sport” mode of thinking. Now, he’s in “this is my life at stake” mode of thinking. Oh, Kain shouldn’t expect Hawke to leave him still living at the end of the duel.
Oh, I like the expression on Reddjac’s face when it looks like *he* won’t be killing Hawke. [Grin]
